The Department of Medicine is the largest clinical department at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. It supports and oversees many subspecialty divisions as well as numerous programs and centers that help fulfill our mission of excellence in clinical care and medical education. Additionally, the department trains medical students, residents, and fellows in internal medicine and its subspecialties, with an emphasis on patient care.
The Department of Medicine offers a broad array of inpatient and outpatient services, from adult primary care aimed at wellness, prevention, and health maintenance, to highly sophisticated subspecialty care. Adult primary care is offered at several sites and two of these have the National Committee for Quality Assurance Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home (NCQA Level III PCMH) designation. The inpatient service is managed by a dedicated team of hospitalists and nocturnists. Led by a cadre of highly qualified and experienced board-certified physicians, Department of Medicine services include not only high-quality medical care, but also medical student training, post-graduate medical education, and research.
