The practice of cardiology at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is defined by the hospital’s mission statement and corporate values, the department’s philosophy and objectives, a variety of job descriptions, procedures, and guidelines, as well as state regulations. We provide quality care that meets each patient’s unique needs for the adult age group ranging from 18 years of age through geriatrics. Procedures are performed in the Cardiology Department or at the patient bedside when indicated.

24-Hour Holter Monitor
Tilt Table Testing
Pacemaker and Defibrillator Evaluations
Electrophysiology
Cardiac Catheterization/Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

A patient assessment sheet is completed by staff on all patients before and after a procedure. The cardiologist will interpret all procedure results and will determine whether a follow-up assessment will be required. The quality of patient care is monitored on a regular basis through the department’s performance improvement plan.
