Language Assistance and Disability Services

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center provides interpretation and translation services for patients and their family members who prefer to communicate in a language other than English. Additional resources are also available to persons with disabilities to help them communicate with their care team. Please inform a WHMC staff member if you require communication assistance during your visit. All services are provided free of charge.

Certified Medical Interpreters

  • Over-the-phone interpretation in more than 200 languages available 24/7
  • Video remote interpretation services available in more than 40 languages
  • In-person interpretation services (requires prior notification)

Services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

We provide certified medical interpreter services for patients and their family members who communicate using sign language. Those services are free of charge and available 24/7.

  • In-person American Sign Language (requires prior notification)
  • ASL video remote interpretation available 24/7

Translation of Medical Documents

Vital documents, such as informed consent forms, patient admission and discharge forms are available in the most frequently spoken languages. Please speak with a member of your healthcare team if you would like to receive more information about translation services.
