We are proud to be one of only 323 hospitals nationwide to
receive this distinguished honor, having demonstrated
sustained achievement in specific performance measures
reported in the Chest Pain – MI Registry.
Registry participation engages hospitals in a robust
quality improvement process where
using data helps identify and drive improvement
effort and ensures adherence to guideline recommendations.
In this way, the overall quality of care provided to heart attack
patients at our facility is prioritized by our healthcare team.

Cardiology
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has received the American College of Cardiology’s NCDR Chest Pain ̶ MI Registry Gold Performance Achievement Award for 2024. Wyckoff is one of only 61 hospitals nationwide to receive the honor.

Emergency Department
The WHMC Emergency Department received the bronze award from American College of Emergency Physicians for being accredited as a Geriatric Emergency Department.

Bariatric & Endocrine Surgery
American College of Surgeons has recognized Wyckoff Heights Medical Center through its Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP). The program accredits inpatient and outpatient bariatric surgery centers that have undergone independent, voluntary, and rigorous peer evaluation in accordance with nationally recognized bariatric surgical standards.

Cardiology/Neurology/Endocrinology & Diabetes
Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is recognized as a Designated Stroke Center by the New York State Department of Health. Its most recent recognition is the 2022 Get with the Guidelines Gold Plus Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

Obstetrics

Wyckoff Heights holds a prestigious designation as a Baby Friendly USA hospital, which is conferred upon facilities that provide support and education for mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding.
Emergency Medicine
WHMC is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and the Emergency Department is recognized as a 911 receiving facility. As of March 2021, we are a designated STEMI Center (ST-elevation myocardial infarction) recognized by the Fire Department of New York and provide immediate PCI (percutaneous coronary intervention) for patients with life threatening heart attacks.
