Nursing

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center values its diverse team of registered nurses and nurse technicians, many of whom live and work in our community. Our focus is on providing our patients with quality care in a safe environment.

Sixty percent of our nursing staff hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or higher degree. Our in-patient care team is made up of 100% registered nurses who provide primary care while working as part of the team with our nurse technicians who are trained in EKG and phlebotomy.

Our leadership team is comprised of dedicated nurses, 90% of which hold a master’s degree or higher. They foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration and excellence that reflects Wyckoff Heights Medical Center’s Mission Statement, which is Caring with Kindness.

The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Fellowship is a full-time, non-union, 12-month position with stipend and benefits in Brooklyn, New York. It provides intensive pediatric practice training in an urban, safety net setting, with a high performance, PCMH model of primary care. This program is ANCC accredited and is for pediatric nurse practitioners committed to developing careers in community health centers or other safety net settings.

Program includes:

  • Precepted primary care sessions in both the pediatric emergency department and outpatient clinic
  • Mentored independent clinics
  • Specialty rotations
  • Didactic sessions

Qualifications

Graduates within 18 months of master’s degree or DNP programs, certified or board eligible as a PNP; Spanish speaking candidates preferred.
