I am privileged to lead an accomplished faculty, staff, and resident team, all of whom are focused on our mission to improve the lives and health of the women in our community. The department is committed to providing the highest quality obstetrical care, women’s healthcare, cancer screening and treatment, and all other reproductive services. We pride ourselves in providing compassionate, respectful, family-centric care that serves a diverse population of women and encourages close collaboration across clinical disciplines.

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center provides state-of-the-art obstetrical, gynecological, and women’s healthcare to meet the needs of the community.

Our birthing center has state-of-the-art equipment to provide the safest birth possible, and includes traditional labor and delivery rooms, birthing rooms, and three operating suites. The unit is staffed with board certified obstetricians, midwives, and highly dedicated nurses. Anesthesiologists are available 24/7 for pain relief. We have a midwifery option that focuses on natural labor and delivery, as well as an option for short stays. Wyckoff Heights Medical Center also has a Level III nursery with board certified neonatologists, and a neonatal ICU that can handle babies weighing less than one pound.

Wyckoff Heights holds a prestigious designation as a Baby Friendly USA hospital, which is conferred upon facilities that provide support and education for mothers about the benefits of breastfeeding.

A diverse group of physicians is qualified to give comprehensive preventative and acute care on an individual basis. Our faculty practice is composed of board certified physicians, midwives, and sub-specialists in the area of maternal fetal medicine (high risk pregnancies), uro-gynecology (urinary incontinence), gynecological oncology (cancer surgery), and infertility.

The Prenatal Care Assistance Program (PCAP) provides comprehensive prenatal services to low-income women by paying for healthcare related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, better known as WIC, provides nutritious food, nutrition assessments and health education, breastfeeding promotion, supplies and support, and referral services to pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women and their children up to 5 years of age. Nutrition education, including individualized contacts and facilitated group discussions, is provided by qualified nutrition staff, and is personalized to meet the needs, interests and learning style of each participate. The foods in the WIC food packages are specifically selected to include key nutrients to supplement the dietary needs of participants to positively influence good health, growth, and development.

This Perinatal and Infant Community Health Collaborative (PICHC)-funded grant program provides culturally tailored education and support services such as insurance and health navigation, with a focus on reaching women of childbearing age 15-44 years and their infants, children, and families. It uses individual health assessments, care plans, community health visits, coaching, community assessments, networking and consensus building to collectively address the social determinants that impact health outcomes for individuals and families

Childbirth & After

We support women through all phases of childbirth. We recognize and understand the profound nature of pregnancy, birth and the post-partum period and it’s ability to transform both the individual and the entire family. Each family has unique needs and we are experts at matching the perfect doula with each family.

What Is A Doula?

A trained professional who provides non-judgmental support of a family’s choices during pregnancy, birth, and the newborn stage.
