The Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Fellowship is a full-time, 12-month salaried position with benefits. The AGPCNP Fellowship cohort starts in October 2026 and continues through the end of September 2027.  The fellowship provides comprehensive training for new-graduate Nurse Practitioners with an emphasis on delivering primary care in an ethnically-diverse setting.
Based out of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, a safety-net hospital with satellite ambulatory primary and specialty clinic sites, this fellowship program intends to provide a combination of clinical and didactic training to expand the facility’s footprint in its community of service, increasing accessibility and optimizing the health of its diverse patient population. Successful applicants demonstrate a desire to provide impactful and evidence-based primary care.

Program Includes:

  • Precepted primary and specialty outpatient clinic sessions
  • Mentored independent clinics
  • Didactic sessions

Qualifications:

  • Graduates within 18 months of completion of a Master’s or DNP Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner program
  • Certified as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP)
  • Spanish-speaking candidates preferred

Trained in primary care delivery, DNP Ram has been a Nurse Practitioner at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center since 2017. Prior, he served as a Registered Nurse in the facility’s Emergency Department. One of the inaugural Nurse Practitioners in Wyckoff’s Department of Medicine, DNP Ram has experience in serving adult-gerontology populations in a range of ambulatory settings across primary and specialty services including pulmonology, cardiology, and post-ER transitional care. Currently the Director of Population Health Services at Wyckoff Heights and previously the Nurse Practitioner Educator for Internal Medicine, he brings an awareness of quality-based health outcomes in conjunction with providing care to complex patients in an underserved yet culturally thriving community.
