Wyckoff Heights Medical Center’s Security Department exists to provide a secure environment that allows everyone using the health care facility to receive or deliver quality services with minimal risks against their personal well-being and their property. Our Security personnel is very aware and concerned with providing appropriate service for people of all ages (newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics) who often require special attention or needs. Health care security is a more specialized field of security as medicine and patient care become more complex. Security will work with the healthcare provider in making sure that the patient is secure in thought that every aspect of his or her stay at Wyckoff will be as positive as possible.

The Security Department is trained to work with the patient’s family, friends and loved ones to improve communication and understanding. Our Security Department is a professional, flexible, patient and business-oriented service that operates 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-per- week. The Wyckoff Heights Medical Center security staff maintains the highest standard of recognized practice and training by following the guidelines set forth by the New York State 1992 Security Guard Act.
